A:- Pyotr never courted Anastasia. On the contrary, she was interested in him. Pyotr was not interested in marriage and Anastasia too. He was reluctant in proposing her too.

A:- Kondrashkin was quite right in pushing Pyotr to marry his daughter Anastasia at any cost. He was a father of seven daughters. Marriage anxiety in the father and daughters was expected. And Pyotr was his chance to them to get atleast one married. Pyotr too behaved like a suitor eating, drinking and chatting with the girls. This behaviour created a feeling in them to tie knot with him.
